Cary, Thanks for your story regarding Song Be. Seeing Bob White's name mentioned reminded me of a few stories. He was my roommate at one time along with Mark Stone and have always wondered what had happened to him once I DEROS'ed. That last month (April-May) is still a blur. Chuck
The guy that got WIA at Song Be with me on Bob White's team was named Anthony C. "Tony" Georges. His DEROS was 3 Apr 72, so we musta been there earlier than I thought and wrote. Maybe it was March of '72 ?
Does anyone remember a T/Sgt Horn that was at Song Be and was wounded in 68, sent to Japan to get well only sent back to Song Be to finish up his year. I ran into him in mobility duty office as I was coming into country. Told him I was going to Tay Ninh and he was worried about me. I had a cake walk compared to Song Be. Sgt Horn was maybe 5' tall, was stationed at Scott AFB,Ill before 'Nam. Jimmy Wade should remember him as well as me.
